The Hollings Scholarship Program provides students with up to $8,000 in academic assistance as well as a 10-week paid summer internship at a NOAA facility. Students may apply for a reappointment and be awarded a second year’s worth of graduate assistance.
Students must be majoring in an area related to oceanic and atmospheric science, or that can be applied to NOAA’s mission (biological science, math, social and physical science, – for more, see website).
NOAA also offers the EPP Scholarship Program which focuses on scholarships for students attending minority-serving institutions. The deadline for this scholarship is in February.
