SMART Scholarship

The SMART scholarship is part of the National Defense Education Program. It is designed for students who are pursuing STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) disciplines.

Recipients of the SMART scholarship recieve many benefits, including a full tuition grant, paid summer internships, and a book allowance.

Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA, be able to participate in Department of Defense summer laboratory internships, and be willing to work for the DoD after graduation.

The application for next year will be available Aug 1, 2011. The deadline for this year is Dec. 1, 2011.
