The application cycle for this award will reopen in December.
The Point Foundation awards scholarships to students who have played a leadership role in the LGBT community. (It is not required that you identify with the LGBT community). Scholars recieve an amount to cover their tuition, room and board, fees, books, transportation, and other educational supplies. In return, the Point Scholar agrees to help support the LGBT community through completion of a service project.
Applicants are evaluated on the “totality of their situation.” The committee looks at “Marginalization, financial need, academic achievement, personal merit, leadership, involvement in the LGBTQ community, professional experiences, personal and future goals.”
Students in all educational levels may apply.
