National Institutes of Health Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Competitive scholarships for students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are pursuing careers in  biomedical, behavioral, and social science health-related research. Students who are awarded scholarships are required to complete a ten-week paid summer labratory experience in an NIH research lab per one year of scholarship. Students are also required to serve one year of full-time employment with the NIH per one year of scholarship.

Student must have a 3.5 GPA or be in the top 5% of his or her class.
