Oxford/Cambridge National Institutes of Health Medical Research Scholars Program

The NIH has parternered with Oxford and Cambridge to create a collaborative graduate program in the biomedical sciences. Students typically spend two years in the UK at either school and then two years at a research facility in Bethesda, Maryland finishing their thesis and dissertation research. Students are then awarded a PhD from either Oxford or Cambridge. Students are awarded stipends of $24,000, health and travel benefits and other lab support including lab fees and tuition waivers.
