During your senior year, you will be thinking about what you want to do after you graduate. If you have planned well, you should have plenty of options. Graduate school is often a good option, but taking a year off between undergrad and grad school might be another good option. Scholarships like the Fulbright fund students to study or teach in another country, and there are other organizations that fund similar opportunities, like the Rotary International and the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET).
If you have a exceptionally strong record of academic excellence and leadership, then you might consider applying the Rhodes or the Marshall scholarships. Please see Ms. Whiteside to discuss these opportunities.
