The NSF Graduate Fellowship is awarded to outstanding students who are in research focused masters or PhD programs in NSF supported fields (these include most STEM areas as well as economics, psychology, anthropology, geography, public policy – for a specific list, look here). These awards cover up to $10,500 in tuition and fees per year and provide students with a $30,000/year stipend, as well as opportunities for international research and professional development.
