The Metropolitan Museum of Art offers internships to students who are interested in careers in art and museums.
The John F. and Anna Lee Stacey Fund for Arts Education provides scholarships for students who intend to make a career out of art.
The deadline for this award is February 1.
The Worldstudio AIGA Scholarship is awarded to minority students who are pursuing a graduate or an undergraduate degree in advertising (art direction only), fine arts, graphic design, illustration, interactive design/motion graphics, photography.
The Frito Lays Arts Scholarship will award $5,000 scholarships to an eligible student majoring in the arts for the 2013-14 academic year. Scholarship proceeds came from a consumer contest entitled Frito-Lay Black History Month Art Contest. The contest ran between January 21, 2013 and March 4, 2013.
To be eligible for this scholarship applicants must:
- Have a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Attend a 4-year accredited college or university in the United States
- Major in Performing or Visual Arts related field
- Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

From the HSF Website: The HSF/ McNamara Family Foundation Creative Arts Project Grant is designed to provide financial resources to outstanding Latino undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in a creative arts related field: media, film, performing arts, communications, writing, etc. This grant is only intended to assist students in beginning and completing an art project. Students may be potentially eligible for grants up to $15,000.
The very prestigious Fulbright program offers summer institutes in the UK for students who have completed no more than two years of university study (so, current freshmen and sophomores). These programs are between 3-5 weeks long, and are fully paid for, including tuition, lodging, airfare, and meals.
From the Fulbright website:
“Participants in these programmes will get the opportunity to experience an exciting academic programme at a highly regarded UK University, explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK and develop their academic ability by improving presentation, research and communication skills.”
This is a GREAT opportunity for students interested in studying abroad. There are no major requirements, though one institute focuses on drama, while another focuses on art and design.
