“Five Ruth Lilly Poetry Fellowships in the amount of $15,000 will be awarded to young poets through a national competition sponsored by the Poetry Foundation, publisher of Poetry. Established in 1989 by the Indianapolis philanthropist Ruth Lilly, the fellowships are intended to encourage the further study and writing of poetry.”
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation provides up to $50,000 annually for students or recent alumni of a US institution with exceptional artistic talent and abilities to study at a graduate institution – US or international. In order to be eligible for this award, students must have a GP of 3.2 or above upon completion of college. They may only use this award towards their first graduate degree in performing arts, visual arts, or creative writing.
The first phase of the application is due at the end of November
