This year, Amway has partnered with UNCF to establish the Amway Scholars Program. The program is open to rising sophomores and juniors. Recipients will receive funding for the 2012/13 academic year as well as an opportunity to apply for an internship opportunity at Amway in 2013.

  1.   Remain enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at an HBCU

NAACP – HUBERTUS W. V. WILLEMS SCHOLARSHIP FOR MALE STUDENTS – 2012

Deadline: April 22, 2012

Applicants must be male students majoring in one of the following fields: Engineering , Chemistry, Physics or Mathematical Sciences. In addition, applicants must be U.S. citizens and be applying to or accepted at an accredited college (excluding proprietary schools) in the United States.

Graduate Students must posses a 3.0 average and are eligible for an award of $3000.

NAACP membership and participation is desirable. A copy of evidence of NAACP membership must be mailed to UNCF.

Applicants must demonstrate financial need based on the following family income scale:

1. Two letters of recommendations,

2. One page essay,

3. Recent official transcript,

4. Evidence of full time enrollment,

5. A copy of evidence of NAACP membership.

For Financial Verification,Student Aid Report (SAR) must be mailed to UNCF by the deadline of the application:

Undergraduate applicant must be a full-time student. If a student drops below the required full-time status, the Scholarship Selection Committee will adjust the grant received to 50% of the award allocated for that semester. Graduate applicant may be a full or part-time student.

General Mills markets some of the world’s best-loved brands, including Betty Crocker, Häagen-Dazs, Pillsbury, Green Giant, Old El Paso, and Cheerios. Our brand portfolio includes more than 100 leading U.S. brands and numerous category leaders around the world.

General Mills and UNCF have partnered to offer the General Mills Technology Scholars Award which provides a $5,000 scholarship for the 2012-2013 academic year. Students will be selected based on academic performance, career aspirations, demonstrated leadership, and achievement. Applicants will be notified by June on their status.
