Scholarships for Non-Traditional Students

Non-traditional students are typically students who fulfills at least one of these descriptors: is older than twenty-five, has dependents (children or others) and/or  works full-time when in school.

Special forms of aid often exist for students who fall in this category, and I am listing a few below.

The Linda Laell Miller Scholarship –  This scholarship is specifically for women.

Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Ed Scholarships

Denny’s Scholarship – This scholarship is specifically for single parents of Hispanic heritage.

Jeanette Rankin Scholarship – This scholarship is specifically for women over 35.

The Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Scholarship – This scholarship is specifically for women with children (regardless of marital status) and has a financial need component.

Soroptimist offers the Women’s Opportunity Award for women who are the primary breadwinner for their family.

Hispanic Scholarship Foundation (HSF) Clorox Sueña Sin Limites Mothers Scholarship – This scholarship is specifically for mothers of Hispanic heritage.
