The LA Grant Foundation awards scholarships each year to African American, Asian Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/Alaska Native students majoring in marketing, advertising, or public relations. Students may be at any level.
Pfizer offers tuition scholarships of up to $2,548 to juniors, preferably in biology and chemistry, though they will also award scholarships to students in nursing and allied health. This is a need based scholarships, and students must have completed a FAFSA.
The deadline for this scholarship is October 14.
The Monsanto Fund offers scholarships of up to $10,000 to college African-American sophomores and juniors majoring in Agronomy, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Entomology, Engineering (mechanical, electrical, seeds process and chemical) Computer Science (application development, global ERP development, infrastructure services, research oriented information technology), Plant Breeding, Automation Technology, or Ag-related field.
Preference will be given to students who are members of farming communities. Students must have a GPA of at least 3.0.
The deadline for this award is Oct. 31
The Marathon Oil Scholarship provides opportunities to African Americans, American Indians/Alaskan Natives, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, Hispanic Americans by offering scholarships of up to $15,000. The scholarship also comes with a 12 week summer internship at Marathon locations throughout the US. Applicants must have authorization to work in the US. Scholars must have at least a 3.0 GPA. The scholarship is for current sophomores, only.
Eligible majors include: Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science(s), Environmental Engineering, Geoenvironmental, Geological Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Geotechnical, Computer Science/MIS, Management Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering
The deadline is November 1.
The Alfred Chisholm Memorial Scholarship Fund is available to students at HBCUs. Students must have either a relative of a sponser employed by BASF Corporation. This scholarship requires two letters of recommendations and a two page essay. The scholarship awards students with up to $5,000.
The deadline for this scholarship is September 9.
The Josephine de Karman fellowship is awarded to students entering their senior years. The fellowship awards $14,000 to undergraduate students and will be paid directly to the university. The deadline for this year is January 12, 2012, making current juniors eligible to apply.
The Frances Tompkins Nursing Scholarship is given to undergraduate students currently enrolled in nursing programs. This year’s deadline is January 13, 2012.
